After breakfast, we will journey towards Chitkul, the last village
in the region, which is a stunning village that remains untouched
by tourists. We will then ride towards Recong Peo to prepare our
permits. Along the way, we will visit the confluence of the Satluj
and Spiti rivers at Khab. Nako, a small village situated near the
Indo-China border, will be our next destination. After arriving in
Nako in the evening and checking in, you will be free to explore
the village located on the banks of Nako Lake. In Nako, you can
visit the Nako Monastery, which dates back to 1025, as well as
several other Buddhist chortens. Additionally, you can visit Nako
Lake, which is believed to have the footprints of Padmasambhava.
This lake also freezes during the winter, providing a venue for
ice skating practice.
